President Gordon B. Hinckley has passed away

Sad news, our beloved Pres. Hinckley passed away. He was 97. 

(ksl news) Officials with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced this evening that Church President Gordon B. Hinckley has passed away.

He passed away at his home about 7 o'clock this evening with his family was at his side. President Hinckley was 97 years old. He was the 15th president of the church.

Born in Salt Lake City on June 23, 1910; he graduated from the University of Utah and served a mission to Great Britain. After he returned, he embarked on a lifetime of service for the church.

He was employed as the executive secretary of the Church Radio, Publicity, and Literature committee, before he was called to be an Apostle in 1961.

I know I will miss seeing him--he was so amazing!  The spirit and the energy he had at his age---WOW!  But I know as much as he probably will miss us here--he is with his beloved wife again and the Savior.  He literally wore out his life in service.  I am also thankful for modern technology that allows us to read, listen and watch the words he taught throughout his service as the Prophet of our church.  May the Lord bless his family at this time.

I too will miss President Hinckley, I received an email from a friend about the Westboro Church going to pricket Pres. Hinckley's funeral the following is from their website.
