LDS Church International Video Contest pays cash prizes

I went to the church official site to read some talks and I saw a contest the church is having asking people to send videos with gospel related themes then they will put the winning videos on youtube and people will vote for their favorite.  The winner will win 500 bucks each.  I was shocked.  Money prizes for people's testimonies?  Huh I thought geez this isn't right.  What do guys think?

I hear ya loud and clear happy_lds.  I don't like the idea of making money out of people's testimonies, it seems a lil cold.  Not happy.

I was thinking the same thing! What's up with the cash prize?  I think it would have been better to just hand some certificates and forget the money prize.
