And it shouldn't bother you.  Part of life is learning to forgive ourselves.  We all did stupid things when we were young, and some of the things that we did were worse than getting a tattoo.  All of us were young and stupid at one point in our lives.  Some of us are now old and stupid.

I have to agree with Tragula here.  I grew up in the church however I had a few piercings without my parents approval when I was younger, it was a silly thing to do at that time but of course its easier to get rid of a piercing than a tattoo.
