Read Me First: Mormon Wars Rules

First of all thanks for looking. I decided to create Mormon Wars after I saw so much interest in our Community Wars game. Mormon Wars is unique with custom rules. In Mormon Wars there are a number of things that are addicting, here I will mention just some of them:

1. The whole look and feel is centered around the Book of Mormon
2. The map is unique and features places named in the Book of Mormon
3. The playing pieces are unique and no two are alike
4. You learn about places in the Book of Mormon
5. Special bonuses are given for conquering certain lands
6. Unexpected random surprises are made when you least expect it!
6. It is an ongoing project, so there is always something new to look forward to

How To Play

Mormon Wars is open to everyone (both Mormons and non-Mormons) and is free, however to have some level of control there are some rules to be followed in joining the game and participating:

A. You must be a Member of the LDS_Doctrine.com Community and in good standing
B. You must have at least 30 constructive posts under your belt. By "constructive" I mean you are not posting nonsense just so you can play the game.
C. After you make 30 posts send me an Email with the subject as "Mormon Wars" with the following:

* Username at LDS-Doctrine.com
* Password you would like to use (alpha/numeric only)
* Your Email (same as what you registered in the LDS-Doctrine Community)

D. After I receive your request I will check your account here, and if everything is in good order I will open an account for you with 100FP (FP=Forum Points). FP allows you to participate in Mormon Wars. When you run out of FP you just come back to this Forum, participate some more and you will get more FP, it is as simple as that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can anyone participate?
A. Yes, anyone can participate so long as they follow the points above.

Q. Do I have to be a Mormon to play Mormon Wars?
A. No, you do not have to be a Mormon to play, but it would sure help since your participation in the game will be largely built on your activity in this Community.

Q. Can I get FP without having to make posts in this Community?
A. Yes, you can make a donation.

Q. Why do I have to make posts to participate?
A. To make it a worthwhile environment for all those who enjoy Mormon Wars. If it is just a free for all then the chat interface, and game itself will fall prey to abuse and nonsense like most things that are too open on the net. It may seem like an initial struggle, but if you love the Gospel it should not.

Q. I finished my initial 100FP, can I post more to get more FP?
A. Yes! For every post you make in the Community you get 1 FP therefore if you make 200 posts you get 200FP, make 500 posts and get 500FP and so on.

Q. How do I request FP to be transferred to my Mormon Wars account?
A. In the Mormon Wars interface you will see buttons to get FP after you login. Click on these buttons to let me know you need FP, but only do so when you actually have FP here for me to deduct.

City Bonus

When you conquer certain cities: Zarahemla, Nephi, Moroni, and Bountiful, then you get a popup message with a scripture and an added bonus: more armies! However to get the added bonus you must move all your armies into the conquered city otherwise you will get no bonus.

[TIP:] Of course knowing that an enemy can get more armies from conquering certain cities means that you will need to be more mindful of protecting it! This will bring a huge twist to the strategy of any game because on one hand you have to protect your special city, but at the same time you have to also attack with what few armies you do have.
