Getting Church News

Everyone has a different way of Getting Church News events, how do you normally get it?

I almost always get my lds news from one of two places, either the DesertNews which comes to my inbox or on the International Discussions Forum.   I guess it depends on which I happen to come across first.   I am thankful for those resources though.   It enables me to then pass it on to people I know.

A lot of sites like this give it real fast so I check these unless someone calls me up with the news when I'm at work.

I am subscribe to Church News, as well as check the net for any information related to our Church.

I subscribe to the Church News but I get most breaking news on the internet.  My home page is ldstoday which gives up-to-the-minute news about the Church.  I also receive news reports (and rumors) from various internet groups and forums.  I am then able to search out information to verify those reports.  I sometimes get news through my husband, who is in the Bishopric, but I find that I have usually heard it first before either he or the Bishop.  The power of the internet, eh?

A lot of what I get comes from browsing the net and then later I will get it in sacrament meeting if its important enough or from a friend.
