We know there is a room in the Temple where the Prophet is the only person who is allowed to enter (as far as I know). Besides the fact that he uses the room as a place to be in touch with Heavenly Father, do you think there are other ordinances taking place there?

If I am not mistaken I read somewhere that this room is also used as part of the ceremony of Calling and Election.

That's correct, that special room is where the prophet meets with God and receives revelation. As far as I know, no other ordinance takes place there but I could be wrong.

I think this room is possible one of the few that is always locked.  I don't think is safe to assume what goes on in there, fair is to say that it's the room the prophet uses to receive revelation from the Lord.

Yes, other ordinances can be received in the temple when we are worthy and it is my understanding that those take place in the holy of holies although not every temple has one.    Only select temples do.    But the Ordinance of Second Anointing takes place there.    This is what Ive come to understand anyway from reading and scriptures.    Those who are privileged to receive a second anointing have the privilege of having an audience with Christ.    At least this is my understanding thus far.    Although I dont think you have to be in the temple to receive the Second Comforter but those two things are not necessarily synonymous.   Also, It is my understanding having your calling and election being made sure does not require an ordinance in and of itself but those who do receive a second anointing usually have had their calling and election made sure.

The thing about these ordinances is who is the one that determines someone is ready for such ordinances? I heard is through recommendation I'm not sure if I agree with that..

I have heard as well that its through recommendation.  Ive also heard that this is something that used to happen a lot more then it does now.  Perhaps we have to ask just like when getting a temple recommend? Maybe if you felt it was time to receive it and you had received conformation through revelation you would write the first presidency about it? And then they would have to receive conformation as well? Maybe there is an interveiw process as well? Im not sure but that makes a little more sense to me.  We need someone who has already had this ordinance to tell us.  :) I read somewhere not to long ago that someone asked thier temple president how often the ordinace took place in that particular temple and the presiden answered about 70 times a year.  If so that is more than I would have thought.  But maybe when you take into account that not every temple has a holy of holies that number isnt very big.  Just some thoughts.

I read many accounts online but I'm personally skeptical because I want to believe if someone indeed had such ordinance would they go online and share it with complete strangers, you know what am I saying?  Roll Eyes Also yes I read its through recommendation basically what I heard is that someone receiving the ordinance makes a list of possible candidates and then based on that they select others or something like that. I can understand the need for Bishops, Stake Presidents and all that for a temple recommend but I dont see any logic of a human telling another human that they can reach exaltation here on earth. Come on....inspired or not they still human like us. I dont think anyone but God can do that.
